How does a League Candidate Forum work?

The League hosts forums for contested races only. Trained, non-partisan volunteers moderate the events. Each candidate gets two minutes for an opening statement. The moderator asks questions in rotation, ensuring equal opportunities for all candidates. After the Q&A, candidates have one minute for a closing statement. If only one candidate is present, a forum is not held but the candidate will have three minutes for an introductory statement.

What is a Candidate Meet and Greet?

This event allows voters to meet the candidates in a more informal setting, where they can share their information and answer questions.

The League sponsors these events as a service to voters - they are free and open to the public. The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan organization that does not support or endorse candidates.
