Illinois (IL) Appellate Court District 3 Judicial Candidates.

The Third District Appellate Court is located in Ottawa and hears cases appealed from trial courts in 7 counties (Will, Bureau, Grundy, LaSalle, DuPage, Iroquois, and Kankakee), for over 2.1 million people.

LWVGE invited Democratic and Republican candidates for Third District Appellate Court Judicial openings to submit videos:

  • Lytton vacancy: John Anderson (D) and Kenton Skarin (R)

  • O’Brien vacancy: Linda Davenport (D) and Jason Helland (R)

  • Schmidt vacancy: Lance Peterson (D) and John F. Costello Jr. (R)

Candidates were given a 4-minute time limit to answer 5 questions, according to LWVGE ground rules. Videos have been reviewed for appropriateness. Videos are presented as submitted by each candidate, and LWVGE has added an introductory slide to each video.

The League of Women Voters of Elmhurst, Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Roselle-Bloomingdale, and Wheaton invite the public to attend a moderated candidate forum for contested congressional districts and DuPage countywide candidates from 5:30-8:55 pm on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Wheaton City Hall located at 303 W. Wesley St. in Wheaton.
