LWVGE Annual Program Planning Meeting

Saturday, February 3 at the Main Street Rec Center, 9 am to 12:30 pm

Much will be accomplished during this important and interactive meeting, including formulating LWVGE’s program (action items) for the upcoming year. Program Planning is a process. If you missed earlier notices, you may visit: Leader’s Guide. There you will find more details and resources that will help you prepare for the meeting.

While we urge all members to come prepared, do not be intimidated! We have 20+ LWVGE members doing much of the heavy lifting. (And we appreciate their valuable time and consideration.) This month those reviewers are examining League of Women Voters of the United States (LWVUS) and LWVGE positions. They will bring any revisions and recommendations to our Program Planning meeting for discussion. Our members will find consensus on recommendations to the LWVUS, on our local positions and on Glen Ellyn League’s 2024-2025 program/action items. This is the grassroots process the League prides itself on!

Meeting agenda and timeline:

9 am- doors open and refreshments offered

9:15-10:15- Review of LWVUS positions, consider continuing the Campaign for Making

Democracy Work, and complete a survey requested by the National League.

10:15-10:25- Break

10:25-11- Review of LWVGE positions.

11:00-12:20- Discuss and come to collective agreement on how we will direct efforts for 2024-2025

12:20-12:30- Wrap up
