The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan, grassroots organization working to protect and expand voting rights and ensure everyone is represented in our democracy. We empower voters and defend democracy through advocacy, education, and litigation, at the local, state, and national levels.

In person. DuPage County Board District 4 and DuPage County Forest Preserve District 4, hosted by LWVGE at The Glen Ellyn Historical Society from 6:15-7:00.
In person. The League of Women Voters of Elmhurst,Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Roselle-loomingdale, and Wheaton invite the public to attend a moderated candidate forum for contested congressional districts and DuPage countywide candidates from 5:30-8:55 pm on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Wheaton City Hall located at 303 W. Wesley St. in Wheaton.
Note: Circuit Court Clerk, IL D47 & IL D48 candidates will give 3 minute remarks. For more information, please review event details.
In person. Presented by Glen Ellyn Park District and Go Green Glen Ellyn. Celebrate Illinois oaks and discover fascinating facts about these majestic trees while engaging in a variety of family-friendly activities. LWVGE is participating as a vendor to help Get Out The Vote!
GLEN ELLYN PUBLIC LIBRARY. The General Election is Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Your ballot will include choices for President, U.S. House of Representatives, State of Illinois Representative, State’s Attorney, Clerk of the Circuit Court, County Auditor, County Coroner, County Recorder, and County Board Member (District 4). You will also be able to vote for Commissioner of the Forest Preserve (D4), as well as three Appellate Court Justices (3rd District). Finally, there is a Forest Preserve referendum on the ballot, AND three State of Illinois advisory questions. Let’s do our research together!
Bring your phone and your laptop/tablet and spend an hour defending democracy.
If the Tuesday daytime Defend Democracy Drop-In session does not work for your schedule, you can attend an evening session on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 7pm to 8pm at the Wheaton Library.

WHEATON, IL – County Clerk Jean Kaczmarek announces that voter turnout Day One of Early Voting in DuPage County smashes the record set in the 2020 General Election. A total of 1,533 voters showed up at the polls – more than double the 660 voters who cast ballots four years ago this day.

It can’t be said enough: Sharing misinformation and disinformation only amplifies it. Using “myth vs. fact” only helps to spread bad information further. Fight back by sharing factual, trustworthy information about our democratic processes.
